ICONS Foreign Policy Simulation
This foreign policy simulation course, offered each fall semester, involves the class in a international negotiations exercise via a multi-university, internet-based simulation directed from the ICONS project based at the University of Maryland. Linking together opposing teams from colleges and universities throughout the world, these country teams play through international situations through scenarios generated by the ICONs headquarters. Each team is organized as a national government with individual students playing the roles of political leaders, bureaucratic advisors, and domestic oppositions.
