Internships

An internship experience can enhance the international studies major by providing direct experience working in the foreign affairs bureaucracy, international business or an international or non-governmental organization in either the United States or abroad. Internships are particularly useful for students with an area of emphasis in one of the four global affairs areas. Our students often intern with foreign affairs agencies involved in national security issues or policies concerning international development or the environment. Internships are often available in the private sector and work in a foreign corporation is a valuable experience for students in the international business area of emphasis.
